Observation details
9 immature Bald Eagles seemed to be working in conjunction trying to flush American Coots seeking refuge among flooded corn - 4 & 5 Eagles in rotation would hover then circle back around . . . 2 would drop into the corn and out of sight. The water came to life as Coots scattered from the "ground attack". Those eagles would lift while the next group of eagles came in to push the coots further and closer to the edges of the corn. It was quite interesting to witness . . . possibly similar to the way Harris' Hawks hunt. Two sets of adult eagles were tending nests. I only saw one head of an eaglet peer over the rim of the nest.
