Media notes

Juvenile male Pileated Woodpecker giving "waa" calls at suet feeder. He then gives the begging calls. Using the ME 66 with a Rycote SuperSoftie on mic stand. The Pileated Woodpeckers seemed to be concerned with the mic, perhaps they thought it was a predator. There are the same Pileated Woodpeckers that have been recorded at this location this season. Equipment Notes: Recorder's HPF on (80Hz, -18dB/octave). Elevation: 176 m.
