Media notes
Adult male Pileated Woodpecker feeding two dependent young males at the suet feeder. The young was constantly making begging sounds, even while being fed. The rapid series of low-pitched calls are made by the young while being fed. This is the same family of Pileated Woodpeckers as in previous cuts from this location and season. Other Behaviors: Beg. Equipment Notes: Recorder's HPF on (80Hz, -18dB/octave). Elevation: 176 m.
