Media notes
Most likely a Black Bear coughing at close range to the mics. Apparently, the bear inhaled something that irritated its nasal passages and it began coughing/sneezing to expel the foreign material. Certainly something that you do not hear every day. I passed this recording around the WV DNR folks that I know and the consensus was Black Bear. Other Behaviors: Coughs. Equipment Notes: Recorder's HPF on (80Hz, -18dB/octave). Elevation: 176 m.
