Media notes

A pair of adult Townsend's Solitaires giving calls (distress calls) of two types. The first cut documents the broadband calls that the pair were using when a Red Squirrel and a Least Chipmunk were running around the nest area. During these calls, the birds were flashing their tails. The second cut documents a purer, tonal call that the birds were giving after the "attach.". Other Behaviors: Emit Distress Calls. Equipment Notes: SD 702 HPF on (80Hz, -12dB/octave). Elevation: 1746 m.
