Observation details
Long-staying and well-studied rarity, associating with a flock of Ring-billed Gulls. Spent most of its time loafing on the rooftop of Kohl’s, but periodically flew down to the lot to scrum for scraps with its fellows. Similar in size to the Ring-bills but somewhat daintier overall. Eyes dark, bill showing only a slight smudge instead of a defined black ring. Wing pattern, mantle shade, and bill details consistent with canus subspecies rather than kamtschatschensis or Short-billed Gull
