Media notes

NOTES: (Sound: Frequent. General Climate: Arid. Cov. Density: Med.) Jeff Kingery [Three examples of what appears to be the song of the species (the first one decapitated), which I suppose matches the description in Howell and Webb (1995. A guide to the birds of Mexico and northern Central America. Oxford University Press, Oxford) of a series of varied, slightly gruff, high twitters that is quite close to the songs in LNS #6100. I am less sure about the "chase" notes at 0:21 and 0:43, and the soft "tiik" notes at 0:26-0:37, though both appear to have been by hummingbirds (the latter possibly given by Lampornis clemenciae?). Quality added (2 - but with quite a bit of hiss/bees) - CAM - 22 April 2005]. Habitat: Thicket/Brush, Scrub.
