Observation details
Heard what I thought was an adult female clear as a whistle (though I have been made aware there is no confirmation that RCBQ has ever been recorded, so it may have been something else e.g. Little Buttonquail in unusually dense vegetation) and followed the call to a large thicket of dense tall grass but the bird then stopped. Further along, we flushed an unIDed bird which must have been a male (no sign of white flanks), along with four chicks. Photos of one of the chicks are attached and the plumage (Inc the small red spot under the chin in one bird we saw) seems an exact match to another confirmed RCBQ chick on eBird from some years ago.
