Observation details
made recordings of 1, then 2 ; all of our half dozen RECR today sounded similar, (except maybe “a few that sounded a little strange, were far away so I wasn’t sure if they were actually strange”), and Caleb feels strong inkling that “they were the ones we heard in California”, over winter break, and all the ones we made recordings of in Del Norte and also Curry at start of 2020 turned out to be type 10’s (certified by RECR ebird experts, thank you!), “and type 10 would make sense, because they were using Sitka Spruces in California and they were also using them here, I’m pretty sure.” So we will log our 3 recorded as type 10, and see what experts say of recordings, thank you again! 2023 update: Caleb Centanni (now Oregon’s crossbill and other irruptive finches state eBird reviewer) ID : Type 10 “Correct, already reviewed this one”
