Observation details
Two large, very dark birds circling repeatedly above the hillside. Small heads. Broad wingspan. Distinct, separate primary feathers on wingtips. Light shining through feathers at tips of wings. Wings held flat. No flapping. Not ravens. Seen through 10x binoculars. See photos--very out-of-focus, but they show the shape and light wing tips. Don Clark suggested Black Vulture. Only the wing tips looked light, and I was struck by how black they looked all over.
