Media notes
Two consecutive cuts--the second after playback--of a distant Black-throated Coucal singing along the farthest part of the Kirumya Track we reached—ca. 2:30pm. Recorded using a Sony Minidisc Walkman MZ-R70 with a Sennheiser ME67 & foam windscreen.
Observation details
Heard only--in the distance at the farthest part of the trail we reached--but very exciting, as it was a new bird for Uganda here recently--since most of Terry Stevenson's 2002 Field Guide to the Birds of East Africa manuscript went to press (it was included in the first plate of recent additions). I'll upload my recording.
