Observation details
Field notes - Overall dark Locustella. Dirt-brown above and white throat with some notable streaks across upper chest. Dusky flanks were also seen in the field. Bird was singing in the bushes (reedbeds), marshy area. Sounds like an insect "raasp... raasspppp... raaassspppp... raaspp.." in phrases sometimes longer and sometimes shorter. I have a few songs and call "chir.. chirr.." recording which matches the Chinese Bush Warbler. **NOTE - Our sighting is the first with media documentation from India. And, this is the best evidence of the presence of the species in India.
