Observation details
Small wading bird walking on vegetation with large feet. Buffy throat, black breast band, black crown that goes down the back of the head, brown wings & upper body, orangey-red comb. Actively feeding in dense vegetation in front of car parking area. Occasionally moved more out into the open. Known bird - Kim Farley mentioned it on COG chat line.
