Observation details
Finally one in viewable and identifiable range a few hundred yards off Suquamish Dock. Associating with a nicely comparable WEGR as the two foraged away from the distant resting 2 large flocks of WEGR’s. This is a traditional body of water for good numbers of over-wintering WEGR’s. Lighter gray overall especially the flanks and narrower black hind neck stripe in comparison to nearby WEGR. White in face larger due to white extending above eye and also in lores. Given decent light with sun through partial cloudiness the bill was obviously brighter orange-yellow versus dull yellow of nearby WEGR.
