Observation details
Gull was on Bay side close to the rock wall on north side of parking lot. Flying back and forth up to and slightly beyond the restaurant on west side. Small gull, adult basic plumage, (smaller than 2 Bonaparte’s it was associating with). Completely dark underside to wing was the single most obvious field mark that stood out. Pale gray mantle and upper wings with white trailing edge to wing. Helmet-like markings on head, with dark ear spot connecting with slightly less dark crown. Black bill, but appeared smaller than BOGUs. No eye ring. Did not notice leg color. Poor, blurry photos.
