Blue morph foraging
Observation details
*Nice sized flock which has spent most of the day in the Northport area. When I saw the flock this morning I had approx 300 birds; some of the birds had left over the course of 8+ hours. This total is a very close estimate. The birds were in the driving range of the golf course. They flushed a few times as golfers got too close (audio below), but they always ended up circling around and landing back on the driving range to happily forage. There were approximately 5 adult blue morphs, 1 or 2 immature blue morphs, and a number of immature white morphs. Really cool to see a flock of this size here.
