Observation details
I heard a repeated alarm call from a Zonotrichia sp. The sparrow was perched in shrubs along the walking path connecting Crystal Lake Dr. and SE Bell Ave. I observed the bird from about 10 feet away, but I did not have my binoculars with me. The light was fading quickly which made for poor momentary viewing. I am probably going to default to WTSP for the identification given range and call similarity, though the bird appeared to have a clean, pale belly with the appearance of a dark bib bellow a pale throat. Those features and the fact that I wasn't able to make out strong head patterns made me also consider HASP... with the caveat that I had no optics other than my eyes in dim light. I'll recheck the site in the morning.
