Need to figure these out for sure. Any eBird help would be greatly appreciated. Hope I got the other two correct. Gulls are TOUGH, but I am trying ;) Field note. Strangely, Merlin picked up a Herring and Ringed Bill for photo "2991". This was incorrect and not noted. Online help - Gulls on the West Coast can be very confusing due to the hybridization between Glaucous-winged, Western and Herring Gulls. Locally the three species without black wingtips that you might encounter are Glaucous-winged, Iceland (Thayer's) and Glaucous which is rare. One answer - I see a young glaucous-winged in the first three, then an adult, but none of these is herring or ring-billed. The birds at the end are glaucous-winged or hybrid. Ring bill and herring have black tips both above and below
