Observation details
Found earlier in the morning before we arrived by Bob Dunn. Was roosting with willets and marbled godwits on the observation platform during high tide, sometimes totally obscured, sometimes with just some pink-orange leg showing, rarely out in front of the crowd. When the tide finally started to go down, it started foraging with willets in the marsh next to the island south of the observation platform. Slightly smaller than willet with a small head, short down curved bicolored bill, a scalloped appearance to the upper parts, and bright pink-orange feet.
