Observation details
One of these ducks showed up in the fall of 2017 and stayed for a time associating near the domestic ducks. Every year since then it has returned and done the same. Apparently this arrangement is well within his comfort zone. This year much to my surprise he brought a friend, another male. These can be found near the domestic waterfowl and are thus relatively tame. This is the first time I have seen them this season. I feed the ducks hen scratch.
