Observation details
Locally common during migration* singing and chattering throughout. Counted thoroughly when the flock took off. Lots of vocalizations, I took a single 3 minute recording and ripped the following audio files from them. HABITAT: Flooded swamp/bottom land with Red Maple, Atlantic White Ceder, Eastern Red Ceder, and Eastern Hemlock being the dominant tree species in the immediate area. RUBLs seem to prefer the sections of the swamp dominated by Red Maple as opposed to any of the conifers; VOCALIZATIONS: Recordings below, mostly songs but aot of general chatter as well. when the flock took to the wing most of the singing stopped and it was mostly "Check" or Chack" calls (second recording).
