Observation details
continuing bird, tiny male hummingbird with dark streaked gorget, with white line toward eye, short tail; it first appeared about 40 minutes after we arrived; but only took one or two sips from the back feeder and flew off; it reappeared about 5 minutes later on the front feeder, but again only stayed about 20 seconds and flew off. We refound it on branches in the bittersweet to the left of the garage where the homeowner said it appears to roost. It flitted about there for a minute or two, enough for a poor photo before it disappeared again; but was refound in the bittersweet again 15 minutes later, again for less than a minute. As were were leaving almost 2 hours after we arrived it returned to the front feeder for a little longer; for the best looks we had.
