BAEA-visual 33: definitive adult=9; juvenile (1/2 yr)=4; basic I (1 1/2 yrs)=8; basic II (2 1/2 yrs)=2; basic III=1; basic IV (4 1/2 yrs) near-adult with some dusky spots=3; All perched at the mudflats river mouth and trees, bathing, eating fish, sparring for fish resources; basic IV (4 1/2 yrs ) near adult=1 male perched tree is dived upon by a definitive adult male 1 with a definitive adult female 1 flying behind him, a pair; basic IV (4 1/2 yrs) near-adult =1 female eating a whole fish (she has one older, pale greater covert sandwiched between more recently fresh-molted feathers and dark spots in several white feathers); definitive adults=2, a pair perched together in ponderosa tree east of river mouth NOTE: Record basic VI (4 1/2 yrs) near-adults under immature category in table.
