Observation details
Single bird roosting/loafing with a few Sharp-tailed Sandpipers amongst the big flocks. Initially drew attention based on size (intermediate between Sharpies and stints), plumage pattern and apparent split supercilium, eventually “woke up” and started preening so the diagnostic broad bill with drooped tip could be seen
