Observation details
First looked for it from the trail above, then went around to the Campbell House. Ran into Kaplan there and we stood on the edge of the lawn for a while. One of the people working there came by and talked to us and said it was fine to be on the lawn. We stood there for a while before eventually hearing the wren, and got a quick look as it appeared near the gazebo, then quickly disappeared. Kaplan headed out after this and I stayed. Got another look and some photos just after he left, no preemptive calls this time, just saw the bird. That was the last I saw of it, although I did get some audio recordings of it singing towards the end. Looped back up to the trail and could hear it singing from there, but more faintly and with no visuals. It was near the gazebo both times I saw it and would be briefly visible on a branch before disappearing completely. Talked to multiple employees while I was there they were all friendly and interested, definitely curious why there has been so much activity the last few weeks!
