Observation details
This bird discovered by Max Brady. I saw it at 1:10pm 36.95361° N, 122.03090° W The bird landed next to me as I was standing in a very birdy area with lots of sparrows, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Brown Creepers and Chestnut-backed Chickadees. It is a very tiny bird, about the size of a European Robin. I first saw it flick its tail, then it perched and I could see the blue tail, it quickly turned around to show its orangey flanks, then it stopped for a few seconds before disappearing. Very pretty bird!
