Observation details
This species is known to nest in the canyons of Las Animas county and arrive in the area "by late March" according to The Second Colorado Breeding Bird Atlas, p. 332-333. This individual was observed for several minutes as it flew from perch to perch and caught flying insects. Faintly streaked on sides of breast. Not orange enough undertail coverts for Say's. No wingbars. Although it was not visible at one point, it quickly arrived when I played a EAPH song.
