Observation details
Seen in toyon trees near Waldorf school, flying across Canyon Dr. to perch and forage off of reeds. Males unmistakable; turquoise to pale wash of blue on underparts; upperparts vibrant turquoise to blue. Females associating with males had drabber blue upperparts, grey head and brownish gray upper breast. Photos.
