Observation details
Continuing bird first discovered by Hugh Ranson on 19 Nov 2023 and seen and heard by us on 20 Nov 2022. Today we had it approximately 50 yards downstream of the Calle de los Amigos bridge where the vegetation opens up. The bird was foraging low on the opposite side of the creek and jumped up a couple of times onto a large fallen branch. It also vocalized multiple times giving its loud "chimp, chimp" call. This was a small, dark-backed wren with a stubby tail that it held straight up over its back and a short pale eyebrow.
