Observation details
A flock of Cormorants flew low over my car, and kept going west till out of sight. In the flock was a much smaller Cormorant, with proportionally smaller body and longer tail. By the time I got the camera out of the car, I was only able to get pics of their backsides, showing a clear size difference. Upon arriving at my parents house in Lake Riverside, I informed my nephew of the sighting. He looked through his photos from the day, and found that he had a pic of the bird’s backside, with head hidden. Longer tail and much smaller size, in comparison to the Double-crested’s in the photo is obvious.
