Observation details
I saw some Buteos flying outside my bedroom window so I put my binoculars up and spotted a large raptor out behind them that was flapping the right speed for an eagle. I watched it as it soared and came a bit closer. I confirmed it as a Golden Eagle and could see the tawny bar on the top side. Tried to take some photos through the open bedroom window but the temperature difference prevented them from being sharp. Ran down from the third floor and went outside and by then it was soaring nearly overhead. All dark underneath and above so probably an adult. Moving in a migratory direction. Smaller head compared to Bald Eagle. A nice highlight for my last full day in Delaware.
