Observation details
A Western and a Lilian's sat on adjacent fence posts, each singing its species' song. Western's song was complex, Lilian's simple with about four notes and a sharp "zeet" call, compared to "chup" call of Western. Lilian's had plain pale cheek contrasting with bold supercilium. Western had yellow extending up from throat into part of malar. Lilian's had much more white in tail. Breast streaks on Lilian's appeared a bit longer than the spots on the Western.
