Observation details
Adult bird found along the dry creek bed on the northeast corner of the lake. Observed the flycatcher in mature trees and in dense understory (same area as the Canada Warbler in May). Large empid with noticeable eyering, low contrast throat, overall greenish color, broad bill with totally yellow underside, somewhat contrasting wings, long primary projection, and grayish legs. The bird was also in molt. The greater coverts had 1 new feather among the older, worn feathers and from my pictures I can only count 3 visible primaries.
