Observation details
Immature bird reported yesterday by multiple people. Likely the same bird as seen back on 02/25/17 by John Daniel (see checklist https://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S34786897). The shrike would be visible for a while and then drop down and disappear, popping up somewhere else half an hour or more later. It was also singing and calling. Some portion of the time I saw it it was sitting in a thicket along the paved trail and singing. In fact that's how I refound it one time, by hearing the song as I walked by. I was able to get some poor recordings of the song using my iPhone.
