Observation details
Probably present (among many Canadas) when I arrived. They flew off with a bunch of Canadas a little after 8:30 AM. Small size (possibly smaller than nearby male Mallard), dark breast, rounded head, lack of strong white collar (one had a thin and incomplete white collar), very small bill I believe make these B. h. minima. Other birders have seen Cacklers here, and I probably missed IDing a couple recently, so great to finally see them!
