NOTES: (RRN#:90-29-11,12; Cut#: 11,12; General Climate: cyclic wet-dry; Cover Density: thick; Weather: wind, light breeze; Filtering: yes) *** Calls, no song. this may have been a young family group calling to keep contact as they progressed through the scrub on a south-west facing treeless mountain slope. BNA: The first call heard is likely the Rattle Call. It is followed by the Mew or Meow Call alternating with the Tseeeee call. The second and third segments consist of Mew (Meow) calls. CZ 01/04/2004. Other Behaviors: Establish Flock Contact. Habitat: Montane Grassland, Chaparral, Thicket/Brush, Scrub.
