Observation details

Associating with Richardson's Cackling Goose on the S side of Harper - made for a nice comparison. Noticeably larger than the surrounding Richies, most approaching the size of the parvipes CANG. Gently sloping forehead and rounded crown typical of this subspecies. All lacked a noticeable neck collar. Breast silvery-brown in coloration. Stout bill. Perhaps not as rare in this area as it is thought to be, as this is my fourth or fifth observation of this subspecies in Louisville in under a half year.
