Observation details
Heard tapping of sapsucker on a large Salt Cedar. Individual had a vary vibrant red head and throat, the red tan down into breast. Initial thought was a Red-breasted Sapsucker until I saw the white line running from the beak to the rear of the head. As well as the white line above the eye and a black bar running through the eye. Vertical white and black barring along back on both sides separated by a black vertical bar. Very yellow belly. Possible Red-Naped x Red-breasted sapsucker hybrid. Photos to be added.
