Observation details
Large (similar body size to Canada geese) white bird with long neck and black bill. Black legs. Distinguished from Mute Swan by all-black bill. From Trumpeter by pattern of occurrence, slight concavity to culmen, and how the black skin at base of bill pinches off towards eyes. Tiniest yellow loral spot. Per Sibley, Trumpeters rarely show a little yellow in their lores, but when it occurs it is accompanied by grey, not black legs https://www.sibleyguides.com/2011/07/trumpeter-swans-with-yellow-loral-spots/ Bob Dunn reported a single flyover at Hayward shoreline this morning. This one in San Lorenzo creek 37.674513,-122.156081
