Observation details
Continuing bird found by David House, juvenile bird with scalloped back, light head and dark eyes, bill was thick and slightly upturned. Bill was bluish at the base and yellow up to the tip, noticed that in scope. Diving fairly regularly for fish, had pretty short intervals above the water when I studied it’s characteristics. The head was a unique pointed shape that differed from COLO and the lack of any dark on the back of the head and neck also ruled it out. Lifer for Anna! and State Bird for Matthew…
