Observation details
It's not often that Currawongs, normal old Greys, are a highlight of the day... but when I heard a vast cacophony piercing through the forests, I knew there was most likely a Raptor afoot!! Thus, just as a shikari follows the alarm calls of Deer to spot a Tiger, I headed off in hot pursuit... but this lead to a very unexpected result!! Instead of a Wedge-Tail being mobbed, there was an eery, enormous flock of Currawongs randomly shouting and shrieking at some unknown foe!! There almost certainly was a Raptor afoot, surely the Wedge-Tail I saw very close to there two days ago, but no!! I had a minor heart attack when I heard a very peculiar, guttural yelp that sounded almost exactly like a distant Koel; I thought it sufficiently likely to cause such a clamour that I whipped around... and... instead, I found it to be a Currawong call I hav never heard before in my life, as fascinating a spectacle as the gigantic swarm itself!!
