Observation details
minimum number; I started hearing them singing (almost like Tenesse warbler song) and calling (like a California Gnatcatcher's call) along the upper Aeia Loop trail upon encountering the tall eucalyptus trees. Density of birds increased in the eucalyptus grove at the intersection with the Ridge trail. I walked for 0.24 miles up the ridge trail where various Oh'ia were blooming. Amakihi's continued there. My count is probably a mininum bound. Photos and recordings taken.
