Observation details
***Very rare- one of the first birds I saw with by bins after I got out of the car. The bird was in the creek directly behind the beach with a small flock of geese and some ducks. Description- smaller than Canada Geese, with dark brown head, grayish body with white stripe on the side, and bill color a combination of pink and black. When I first identified it as PFGO, its head was tucked in, but overall size, the white stripe, and body and head coloration made me suspect this species. Based on the bill details, Jory Teltser and I believe it to be neither the Hunt Club bird, nor the Greenwich bird. Report will be submitted to ARCC.
