“Krik-kreek” advertising song of a Western Grebe on Elephant Butte Lake. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
Observation details
moderate vocalizing, with many 'songs' = advertising calls, also several birds making rapid movements with long chips series, neck low to water forward, body low in water, feet visibly paddling at the surface; several two-bird rushes seen not identified to this species; also 275 Western/Clark's; recorded;
