Observation details
Photos attached. Female. Small brown duck with white cheek and dark cap. Flanks, back and wings all dark brown. Wide chunky bill and plump head. Repeatedly diving underwater for long periods of time and re-emerging far away. Somewhat associating with hooded mergansers. Was chased by an aggressive male common goldeneye a couple times.
