Media notes
This is the food-begging call of a chick. I heard this call and then decided to follow. Initially, I presumed that call is coming from ground level and kept searching in the undergrowth. At last, I saw some movement in the bush and found one cuckoo-like bird giving this call. Again I feel that this is a chick of cuckoo and the host bird may come to feed it. After keeping watch for a long time arrived and feed the chick and it was Blue-faced Malkoha. This is a great experience once again I find that call of a chick confused the watcher about the exact direction from where the call is coming. Many times I have read that calls of chicks always don't give direction from where they are coming. This is in view of confused predators.
