A possible new taxon of hirundine. Atronanus sp. Comparable to Forest Swallow, but with deeper tail notch, extensive cinnamon on throat extending down towards breast, glossy blue head and chocolate brown underparts. Perched image shows pale pinkish feet and legs.
Observation details
A possible new taxon. Atronanus sp.? Originally observed a few weeks previously by Michael Mills et al., thought to be Forest Swallows, but differing from that species in depth of tail notch, extensive cinnamon extending from throat down to neck, a glossy blue sheen to head and crown, and pinkish legs.
