Observation details
Leaving a birding area with Vidal we were on a dirt road when he spotted this BHEA perched about 5 meters up in a tree. First impression was a Crane Hawk but then we saw the bushy, erected crest and we were both fumbling for our cameras. Didn't seem to be disturbed by our presence. Barred white undertail coverts, bold black banded tail. Crest with white basal wash very prominent. Yellow eyes and feathered legs.
