Observation details
This large streaked-all-over hawk flew into the pine tree next door and started preening. I thought it was a red tailed hawk and went in to get my camera just to get a few good photos. When I started taking pictures, I realized this was a juvenile Goshawk! Its was preening its white, fluffy, undertail coverts. In the photos you can see its white supercilium and some of its streaked breast. It flew down into the oak forest when a car drove by, but a very exciting 10 minutes!
