Media notes
3 calls 6:22pm: first recorded on ten second mp4 file which I cut off then started recording again. I was by the North Woods/Loch Waterfall on my way to the Great Hill hoping to see or hear continuing GHO or see coyote recently seen on Great Hill.
Observation details
I went to look for the longest continuing Central Park Great Horned Owl known as Geraldine but did not find her. I focused efforts on Ravine and found relatively fresh scat under her favorite trees from summer. She'd been reported on SE side of Loch recently and we had not found her on NW (north west/ north woods) side. I was tagged by the continuing male RTH Eepers out of Ravine to wildflower meadow & back to the loch E path again. I left him at Loch staring across toward GHO's tree & walked around the Loch recording video hoping I would catch GHO but instead recorded several calls by Northern Saw-whet Owl at 6:22pm. At the time I dismissed calls as N Flicker bec I hear the continuing family there constantly, but it was dark & way too late for Flickers. Discovered one call on mp4 late Sunday aft & returned to Loch but did not hear calls. I found two more calls Sun night on another mp4 file recorded seconds later. Uploaded wav with all recorded calls.
